Our group traveled the few miles from Nice, France to St. Paul de Vence to eat dinner at Colombe D’Or. The hotel and restaurant served as a refuge for artists during and after the German occupancy of France. Many paid their bills or homage to their hosts with pieces of art.
Inge &Larry & a Picasso Every wall is decorated. This corner displays a Matisse One of many Calders, incorporating the family name of the owners. There are the famous mobiles and pieces by the whole Calder family.
