From a post written Friday night:
luckily, we’re on a mooring ball, so fairly secure. The winds are “only” at 17 knots, but it feels as though we’re racing through the harbour. This is supposed to be our Offshore Sailing School test trip. Do you suppose the instructors arranged a little bad weather? Last night we experienced mild north swells, rocking and rolling a bit. Looks like tonight will be a bit more interesting, due to the winds. It’s supposed to stop raining by midnight. We’ve had a hinge on the anchor chain freeze up one day and the mooring banner eyelet got stuck on our line this morning. We learned how to switch from one water tank to another after lunch today.
